The idea behind this project grew from a simple premise, the true and tested formula of matching the young lion with the elder statesman. The owners host bi-annual benefits for The Jazz Foundation of America. Jimmy Norman was one of the legendary performers to appear, and the electricity between Jimmy and Danny Sinoff was immediately apparent. The result of 3 live-recorded shows is a swinging session of classic Jazz.

"Live At Ellington's Vol.2" is an album of Jazz classic tunes played with fresh and exciting distinction. The live recording gives each set a crisp real flavor of the intoxicating group known as The Danny Sinoff Quartet, with Special Guests Jimmy Norman and Wendy Oxenhorn, and featuring Danny Sinoff on Piano and Vocals, Dan Miller on Trumpet, Tim Ruger on Drums and Jay Heavilin on Bass.

The group's mixture of electrifying swing jazz heats up on "Where or When" and "I Get A Kick Out of You." Special contributions are Jimmy Norman's evocative "Georgia On My Mind", "Night And Day", and "Going to Chicago Blues". "Topsy" gives the spotlight to Dan Miller's amazing horn blowing, Jay's gentle bass strumming and Tim's driving beat, mixed together with Danny's piano mastery. Danny's sultry vocals go straight to the heart with his passionate performances on "The Shadow of Your Smile" and "Imagination".
